Currently an Assistant Professor of English at Trinity University, Jenny is a frequent and popular guest poet in classrooms, libraries, community centers and on college campuses across the country. Experienced in working in a wide range of settings and with people of all ages, she has found poetry to be a bridge across numerous divides. To that end, she has taught environmental poetry on the beaches of Texas, read Pablo Neruda with troubled teens in a juvenile justice center in Kansas, worked with English teachers on integrating poetry into K-12 classrooms, helped ESL students decide on the best words in the best order and written collaborative poetry with artists from other disciplines.
