I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed your essay in the Times last weekend. It resonated with me in a way that is hard to explain. My husband and I just made it through a year and a half following our 3 year old son’s diagnosis with a brain tumor. Your portrayal of “for better or worse” really struck me. Sometimes life gets a bit too real, but like you, we still dance. Thank you for writing something that expressed some of the feelings that I can not.

I read the piece. It was excellent. The Texas references really resonated with me, as I grew up there, and spent my fair share of time in Montrose. Congrats on getting published in the venerable NYTimes.
